Well, we finally did it.  We got the much anticipated trampoline that Emma has been waiting and earning so patiently for months!  The deal with her dad was when we bought our own house there would be a yard big enough for a trampoline, that's all she wanted when we lived in California...a yard!!  Now the trouble is how to get her off!!

Cousins

What a bunch of trouble!!  All but 5 of the Pratley cousins.  Missing are Darren's 4 and Jaron's little Corbin - he was upstairs sleeping!  They sure had a great time playing and playing for days!!  We will miss them all!

The Big 3

I can't believe that my little man is 3.  That was a fast three years!  This year was all about dump trucks and construction!  Happy Birthday Little Man!!

I hosted an All American BBQ for my sister in-law Susan.  She is from Canada and she became a US citizen so we threw a classic American BBQ complete with burgers, hot dogs, and apple pie!!

We had a great holiday weekend.  It was so great I only cooked breakfast once and BBQ the rest of the weekend.  We went to the country club with Steve's family to swim on Memorial Day and that was great.  Caroline loved the water and the other kids stayed in the water for 4 hours...and no sunburns!  It was also our nephew Luke's baptism, very cool, and lots of birthdays. Plenty of celebrating for the Johnson family.  We did take the opportunity to take the kids to the cemetery to see where their great grandparent's are buried, expect for Steve's grandma...she's 100!  Emma has been very curious about the cemetery so it was great to be able to answer her questions and also show her the headstone of her great-great-grandmother for whom she was named after.  So all in all it was a great family fun weekend!

"Camping"

The Johnson family version of camping...new house with no furniture and family pitching in to get us beds, blankets and toys until our stuff arrives on Wednesday.  The kids are going nuts in the new house.  They are bouncing off the walls, running around everywhere, and loving their own rooms.  Isaac keeps running to his room and saying, "My own room!"  Love it!  We miss San Clemente, it's been freezing here, but it's so good to see family and my kids are loving playing with everyone.  Emma started her new school on Tuesday and is LOVING it!  She talks about it all day long and I have learned a lot about grasshoppers, beetles, flies, and mosquitos.  We also have a lot deer for neighbors!

We have decided that we will just have an arranged marriage for Isaac.  Here he is with his "bride" to be, Veronica.  Isn't she a beauty!!  They love each other so much already we can't wait to see them in about 22 years!!

Last night Isaac was up partying with mom and dad because he had a very late nap after a day of playing with Veronica and going to school.  Just wish I could have kept him up until bedtime.  But had he had a nap he would not have had the opportunity to have a snack with dad and he loved it!  Steve fixed some peanut butter and jelly toast and they took turns having bites.  Isaac was in heaven.  He kept saying, "My turn!" and "Your turn!"  What a great bonding time for the men of the house!

Emma has a new haircut!  All of her friends have short hair so of course she has to have it to, but mom doesn't mind so much...less tangles and fighting to brush it!
