Winter Wonderland

We had Emma's 5th Birthday party today, tomorrow is the big day, and it was a wonderful party.  I had my friend Brittany do the party, she is the best and she saved me so much time, headache, and sanity and she made the "Winter Wonderland" come to life!!  If you have a party you need some planning she is your gal!!  Here is just a taste of the party.

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a great time in Utah for the Thanksgiving holiday.  The kids played in the snow and loved it, they played with cousins and loved it, they played with grandparents and loved it, drove both ways in the car...hated it!!  Here are some highlights of our trip to Utah.

Happy Halloween

The kids had a great Halloween.  Isaac found his new favorite holiday.  He did invite himself in at several homes, shut the door at others, and grabbed handfuls of candy when given the chance.  Then he just sat down and started eating it all!  Emma couldn't run fast enough to the next house.  We had fun hanging out with our neighbors as usual for Halloween.  We all gather across the street and the kids get a 5 for 1 when they come by.  Emma and her friend Sophie next door had fun running around and checking out all the costumes coming by.  We are glad we get an extra hour of sleep tonight, here's to hoping we actually get the extra hour!

Petting Zoo Field Trip

Emma's preschool had a field trip to a petting zoo in San Juan.  I think Emma would have stayed in with the bunnies the whole time.  She loved picking them up, feeding them, and loving them.  She was able to ride a horse, a train, and climb a pumpkin mountain.  Thanks to my friend Amy for staying at my house with Isaac so I didn't have to chase him around!!  Caroline was so good, she slept the whole time!!

Dancing with the Stars

Brooke and I were able to go to the premiere night of Dancing with the Stars and we had the best time. Our husbands were the heros. Mark flew Brooke and Aveline here for less than 24 hours so we could go to the show. My friend Britnay watched the kids and my friend Jessica watched Caroline. We met up with Brooke's friend Marcy from high school, she is a field producer on the show, and she got us way ahead in the line to get in and we were shown to our seats in the balcony. We had a great time! You have to do A LOT of clapping and you realize how much you miss the fast forward button when you're watching it at home after you record it!

We went to dinner after the show with Marcy and 2 other ladies that Marcy knows that were at the show. We went to The Grove and had a nice dinner outside. Meanwhile Steve was at home putting 4 kids under age 4 to bed - He's a CHAMP!! When we were leaving we saw Louie Vito, he's on the show, and since Marcy knows him we stopped to chat and snap a photo. While we were doing that there was a guy with a camera filming the whole thing, paparazzi!! Then we went home and turned into pumpkins - aka Moms!

The next day Brooke was watching TMZ and low and behold who did she see on the show? You guessed it...ME!! Then I turned back into a pumpkin again. Our Hollywood days are over but they sure were fun!!

Blessing

While we were in Utah we decided to have Caroline's blessing there because all of the family is there and then they all wouldn't have to travel to San Clemente (some were a little bummed about not coming down to the beach - sorry!). We took the opportunity to take a Johnson Family photo, minus Shandi's little boy Hunter. It was so fun to have my family and Steve's family altogether and what a great time we had. Steve gave Caroline a beautiful blessing and it was wonderful to have all the Johnson brothers and my brother Jordan participate in that blessing. We were also very blessed to have Steve's Uncle Gregg participate as well. It was a wonderful evening with everyone!

100 Years

100 years old and looking so good!! Steve's grandma turned 100 so we went to Utah for her birthday celebration. We love you Great Grandma Mamie.

My little Emma loves the camera. Once she catches you taking a photo there is always a pose after!! Future cheerleader? Who knows!!

Block Party

A bunch of our neighbors organized a block party today and it was tons of fun. It just happened to be the hottest day of the week here, yes it gets hot, it was about 95 degrees and muggy. On of our neighbors brought out a little kiddie pool that was supposed to be a place to cool your feet off but it turned into Emma and Isaac's entertainment as well as everyone else watching them. We were not out there for 5 seconds before Isaac went all out in the water. Needless to say we went back inside for swimsuits. Caroline made her neighborhood debut and everyone was gushing over her, as they should. The kids played out there for 5 hours and then came in and crashed! We have a great neighborhood and really fun neighbors. We look forward to the next party...Halloween!!

Birthday Brownies

Tonight we celebrated Grandma Sue's birthday a little early since she is leaving us before her birthday on Monday. The kids made her some special birthday brownies with the help of dad. The brownies were a little "thinner" because some of the batter was missing!
